    1. Prayer

Class stand up and let us pray.              Lead   the prayer Fregie.

    1. Greeting

                  Good Morning Class.

    1. Checking of attendance

Class say I’m alive if you are here.

                             Fregie

                             Almie

                           June Mark

    1. Review

Before we proceed to our new topic.

Let’s  first check if you still know something or  learned about our last topic.

Class what was our last topic?

Good. Can you define what matter is?

Very Good.

    1. Motivation

Class I have here a hard boiled egg. What you will   do is to cut it and observe it. Then after observing you are going to write an observation about the physical appearance of  egg.

Class are you done writing your observation?

Okay. Pass your paper in front.

Class. What did you observed to the egg?

Very Good.

    1. Lesson Proper

Class based on the activity I give you. What will be our topic for this morning?

Very Good.  So class our topic for today is all about Layers of the Earth.

Okay. Class please get ½ sheets of paper then answer the question.

(  The teacher will post the manila paper with a written activity.)

Direction: Identity each layer of the Earth. Then answer the following questions.

  1. What is the outer layer of the atmosphere?
  2. What is the middle layer of the earth?
  3. What is the central layer of the Earth?

Class are you done answering the problems?

Good. So class pass your papers on front.

Class any volunteer the following questions?

June Mark

Fregie

Almie

Very Good. So class what are those crust, mantle, and core?

Good.  So class since you already identified the different layers of the Earth.

Now I want you to group yourself in four (4).

This is what  you are going to do.

The every group must discuss the concept of their assign layer.

                     -Group 1 the mantle.

                     -Group 2 the Crust.

                      -Group 3, Outer Core

                     - Group 4, Inner Core

I will give you 5 minutes to prepare your task. Then after each group must have 1 reporter to present your output.

Class are you done?

Okay if you are done please present now your output. What group will start first?

Okay start now Group 2.

Okay Next Group.

Okay Next Group.

Okay Last Group..

Very Good. Please clap your hands.

    1. Analysis

Class I have a questions. What layer of Earth living organisms like human can lived in?

Why is it the crust is considered as the very thin layer of the Earth?

Good. So why is the Earth crust is the layer where living things can lived in.

Good. So why does the largest layer of the Earth is mantle?

Good. How the earth divided into layers?

Good.  The Earth was divided into different layers because of their different characteristics.

    1. Abstraction

Again Class. What are the different     layers of the Earth?

Good. How does the four layers of the Earth is important to us?

Very Good. It’s very important because we are living here and part of this one layer of the Earth which is the crust.

    1. Application

Now Class. I want you to imagine first the Earth model with different layers. Then get your white bond paper and pencil.

This is what you are going to do. I want you to draw an Earth with different layers and then put a label.

Is it clear?

                    (After 10 minutes.)

Class are you done?

Okay pass all your output.

Good.

  1. Generalization

Class any volunteer to generalize our topic this morning?

Okay Fregie.

Very Good.

In the name of the father and the son……….

Goood Morning Sir.

I’m alive

I’m alive

I’m alive

Our last topic was all about Matter.

Matter is anything that occupy and has mass.

(The students do an observation to the egg then after a minute of observation they write their observation to ¼ sheets of paper.)

(After a minute)

Yes Sir.

I observed that the egg has different layer. Like the egg white and the egg yolk.

Based on the activity awhile ago. Our topic for this morning is about Layers of the Earth.

( The students get a ½  sheet of paper.)

Direction: Identity each layer of the Earth. Then answer the following questions.

  1. What is the outer layer of the atmosphere?
  2. What is the middle layer of the earth?
  3. What is the central layer of the Earth?

( After 5 minutes)

Yes Sir.

( They raised their hands.)

( They raised their hands.)

The no. 1 question the answer is crust.

The no.2 question the answer is mantle.

The no. 3 question the answer is core.

Those are the layers of the Earth, the crust, ,mantle and core.

(They group their selves in four (4). )

(  The every group in now doing their task.)

(After 5 minutes of preparing the activity.

The each group is now ready to present their output.)

Yes we are.

Group 2 the Earth crust.

The Earth Crust

The Earth crust is an outer layer of the Earth. It is very thin just like the skin of an apple. The crust is the solid rock layer which we live in. There are two different types of crust the continental crust, which carries the land and oceanic crust, which carries water. The crust is broken into many pieces called plates. The crust is only about 3-5 miles (kilometers) thick under the ocean and out 25 miles (32 kilometers) thick under the continents..The crust is composed of two basic rock types granite and basalt. The continental crust is composed mostly of granite. The oceanic crust consists of a volcanic lava rock called basalt. That’s all thank you.

The Earth Mantle

The mantle is the largest layer of the Earth, 1800 miles thick. The mantle is composed of very hot, dense rock. This layer of rock even flows like asphalt under a heavy weight. This flow is due to great temperature differences from the bottom to the top of the mantle. The movement of the mantle is the reason that the plates of the Earth move! The temperature of the mantle varies from 1600 degrees Fahrenheit at the top to about 4000 degrees Fahrenheit near the bottom!

The outer core

The core of the Earth is like a ball of very hot metals. (4000 degrees F. to 9000 degrees F.) The outer core is so hot that the metals in it are all in the liquid state. The outer core is located about 1800 miles beneath the crust and is about 1400 miles thick. The outer core is composed of the melted metals nickel and iron.

The Inner Core

The inner core is in the centre and is the hottest part of the Earth. It is solid and made up of iron and nickel with temperatures of up to 5,500°C. With its immense heat energy, the inner core is like the engine room of the Earth.

In the earth crust.

It considered as very thin layer of the Earth it is because of its thickness.

The crust is the only layer where living things can live in because the crust layer is the only who can sustain the living things.

Mantle is the largest layer of the Earth because of it size which is 1800 miles in thick than other layers.

The Earth divided into different layers due to their composition and characteristics.

The different layers of the Earth are crust, mantle, outer core and inner core.

The four layers of the Earth is very important to us because we live in here and we are part of  it

(While getting their materials for drawing they also imagining the image of the Earth.)

Yes Sir.

              (They start drawing the Earth.)

Yes Sir.

                  (They pass in front.)

                 (Fregie Is raising his hand.)

Our topic this morning is all about layers of the Earth, those are the crust, mantle, outer core and inner core. The crust is the first layer of the Earth located In the surface followed by the mantle the largest layer and followed by the outer core and followed by inner core the centre of the Earth.

                 (Clap..Clap..Clap…)
