I have come to teaching as a second career. In my first career, I was a working marine biologist at Mystic Aquarium for over 20 years where I was able to work with a large collection of fish and invertebrates, marine mammals and penguins. I have a BS in marine science, concentrating in biology, and an MBA in business management. I decided to teach as a way to stay involved in science, and yet still be able to make a difference; most importantly for my students, and by extension, the world at large so that when you leave high school, you will become engaged, productive citizens. I love working with students and seeing their growth throughout the course of the year, and truly enjoy the journey that we take together learning about science, and hopefully sparking your curiosity about the world around you!!
