Note: All students who do not have Honor Choir t-shirts have picked up an order form from the choir room Friday. You will just have to complete the order form and have your child(ren) return the form with payment to me by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 27th, if you choose to do so.
Re: The Texas Gulf Coast Orff Association 19th Annual Orff Music Festival
The Orff Festival is quickly approaching on Saturday, May 7th. The location is at
Briargrove Elementary School - 6145 San Felipe, Houston, TX 77057-2899. The telephone number is 713-917-3600. I am giving you final instructions on how we will participate that day, for an enjoyable experience for all involved!
Note: We will be wearing our Honor Choir t-shirts. If your child is a new member, you may purchase a t-shirt if you so choose. I have attached an order form for your convenience. Please return the completed form with payment to me no later than Wednesday, April 27th. T-shirts will be ready in time for the Orff Festival on May 7th.
On the day of the festival please arrive at Briargrove Elementary at 8:30 a.m., so we can have our group picture taken. Group pictures will be taken before the Festival begins, on a first come, first served basis.
There will also be food available for you to purchase at the Festival.
Here is the tentative schedule for the Festival:
8:30 a.m. Pictures will be taken of the Orff Ensembles
9:00 a.m. Welcome and Introductions
9:05 a.m. The Festival begins with performances by the Ensembles attending
12:30 p.m. Final Ensemble performances end
12:35 p.m. Group Performance Selection “Yonder Come Day”
1:00 p.m. The Festival Ends
