Technology plays an integral role in the classroom. It allows students and teachers to access resources needed to promote learning. In order for learning to take place, rules have to be set. Students need rules when using technology no matter what device is used. Of course, the rules for cellphone devices would be slightly different from using the iPad or chromebook because of the functionalities of the devices. For example, personal cell phone devices may not be allowed in the classroom at all versus every day use of chromebooks or iPads.
