Equitable Access

Equitable access to classroom laptops has been made available throughout Micah's school district.  Every student will have access to their own computer that they will sign for at the start of the school year.  It will also be signed by the guardian for each student.  A copy of this agreement can be found in the menu titled "Technology Device Sign in Sheet" for your reference.

Each student, upon given this laptop, will be responsible for keeping it in it's original working condition.  Any damages to the device will result in monetary compensation to the school district to repair damages.  We believe that this responsiblity is important to the student as they develop a sense of ownership and pride in their property.  Internet access for assignments will be available at the school as will ample time to complete the assignments.  Should the student require more time for absenses from school, the student will be responsible for obtaining internet access to complete the assignment.  The public libraries are equiped with internet access for them if there is none available at home.  However, the goal of the classes is to provide content that is downloadable so there is no need for internet access outside the classroom.
