2. Are we able to predict which toys will become valuable? Why or why not?

3. Do you have an object that is valuable to you? What is it, and why is it valuable?

4. List 4 of your favorite toys, and tell me what you think they will be worth in 50 years.

Vocabulary

Continue working on your vocabulary log. Remember to choose one of the following choices.

1. You can make your own vocabulary log with paper. Be sure to include the word, definition, a sentences using your word, and a picture of your word.

2. You can create a document that includes all 10 words to share with me. You can type your word, the definition, a sentence using your word, and you can use clipart for the picture of your word.

Have fun learning the next set of words. We will have a quiz on them in a few weeks.

Today's Word:

Valiant- brave, courageous

Grammar/Writing

Tomorrow is Eath Day! Wikipedia explains Earth Day as, "An annual event celebrated around the world on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, it now includes events coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network in more than 193 countries."

To help you practice using dialogue and to celebrate Earth Day, I would like you to write a short story. You can be as creative as you want with your story, but you must have at least two characters because you need to include dialogue somewhere in your writing. If you need a reminder on the grammar rules associated with dialogue, feel free to go back to yesterday's page, and rewatch the Youtube video I posted. Also, you need to include Earth Day somewhere in your story. Maybe your characters are going on a mission to clean up a beach. Maybe two friends are brainstorming ways to start a recycling program at their school. Be creative! Include strong deails about your characters and setting.

This needs to be at least 2 paragraphs!

Spelling

Choose another fun activity to complete with this week's spelling words! Remember, it is unit 27, and your test is on Thursday. :)
