Spelling Homework

Students will be provided with a Spelling Menu at the start of the year. They are to leave it at home the entire year to reference for each week. Spelling Homework is given at the start of each week. Spelling homework is differentiated to meet the needs of all students. Students will be given a menu of activities to choose from. They must complete a total of 20 points worth of activities by the end of the week. All activities that are completed must be handed in to their homeroom teacher the day of the Spelling test for credit.

Spelling City

Spelling City is a web-based program that helps students master their spelling words. Spelling City is an option on the Spelling Homework Menu. For every 15 minutes on Spelling City the student will earn 5 points towards their spelling homework. No more than 10 points from Spelling City will be counted toward Spelling HW points. Below is the Spelling City link that only 5th Graders will find their Spelling lists.
