Welcome to First Grade!
Welcome back to school! I hope you had a fun and relaxing summer!
Hi! I am Mrs. Nichols! I am thrilled that you are going to be in my classroom this year! We are going to learn so many new and exciting things this year!
First grade is a very busy year as your child will not only strengthen their ability to read and write but he/she will learn to tell time, solve word problems, add and subtract double digits and much more!
I have very high expectations for my students. I firmly believe that children learn best when students, teachers, and parents work together to achieve a common goal; that goal being to give your child the best education possible. We will be spending a lot of time together, so it is important that we treat each other with respect, kindness, and compassion. Good communication between home and school is essential! I will strive to keep you aware of your child’s progress. I will also do my very best to assist you and your child with any educational concerns or conflicts you may have.
I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
