Mark Your Calenders Everyone. . . Its Field Trip Time!!

Miss Lopez's third-grade class will be taking a couple of field trips this year. The first field trip will be associated with the theme of the books read in class. For instance, the last field trip will happen early-May. As a class, we will be learning about ANIMALS; therefore, we will be exploring the different animals the Brookfield Zoo has to offer. Since students will be, reading about the animals heading to the zoo only makes sense so he or she can recognize what the animal looks like and sounds like.

The second field trip our class will be going is the Museum of Science and Industry as a part of our WEATHER unit in Science. The museum has a wonderful hands-on exhibit called “Science Storms” that will really give the students a new perspective on what we will be talking about in class.

**Since there are 25 students in our class, I will be looking for 6-8 volunteers to come with us on these trips as chaperones. This will help ensure that when our class breaks up into smaller groups during these trips, the students will be supervised and watched after, which will make for a fun and safe experience. Parents, guardians, or older siblings (who are at least 21) are all welcome to volunteer; all you have to do is indicate on your child’s permission slip that you would like to help out! If there are any questions, feel free to contact me.

**Prents please dont worry I have already made special arragments with these places so if your child needs to access elevators and ramps we will be given speical passes to do so. Also there will be designated seating for wheelchiars in front  of all the special exhibits we attend. Both locations will provide us with maps with spots highlighted that have designated areas of first aid and anything else that might be handy for a wheelchiar.**
