Dear Imagine Weston Parents/Guardians:

The holiday season will soon be upon us. This year, the Student Government Association (SGA) of Imagine Charter School at Weston is once again helping the needy families of Imagine North Lauderdale, a sister school.  All of the donated items that are collected will help these families enjoy the holiday, as they are designated by the government as a Title 1 - 100% “free meal” school.

We realize that there are people are in need due to Hurricane Matthew.  However, there are many people in our own backyards who need assistance, and prior to the hurricane, we had promised to help the students and families at Imagine North Lauderdale to make their Thanksgiving joyful and uplifting.

We’d like each grade level to bring in the following items to donate to our sister school:

PRE-K: Boxed Cereal

Kindergarten:  Boxed Cake Mix, Boxed Muffin Mix, Boxed Corn Bread Mix

1st: Juice (NO glass), Boxed/Bagged Rice, Boxed/Canned Beans, Canned Gravy

2nd: Canned Meat (Tuna, Chicken), Canned Soup, Boxed/Bagged Rice

3rd: Cereal, Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruit

4th: Canned Sweet Potatoes, Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruit, Canned Cranberry Sauce

5th: Boxed Pasta, Boxed Cake Mix, Juice (NO glass), Spaghetti Sauce (NO glass)

6th: Boxed Corn Bread Mix, Boxed Muffin Mix, Canned Soup, Canned Gravy

7th: Boxed/Bagged Stuffing, Boxed Mac & Cheese, Boxed Potatoes

8th: Boxed/Bagged Stuffing, Boxed Mac & Cheese, Boxed Potatoes

PUBLIX GIFTCARDS (IN ANY DENOMINATION) WILL ALSO BE ACCEPTED TO BE EXCHANGED FOR THE PURCHASE OF TURKEYS or HAMS

We will be collecting your donations until Friday, November 16th. If possible, please send these items with your child/children to school in plastic bags, labeled with their teacher’s name.

Thank you so much for providing and supporting this opportunity for our students to practice good citizenship, compassion, and responsibility.  Parents who are available to help sort the food stuff and/or transport the packed cartons to Imagine North Lauderdale, please contact Kristopher Walker at Kristopher.Walker@imagineschools.org

Thank you for your generosity and compassion.

Warmest wishes to you and your families for the joys of the season.
