4th Grade Homework and Grade Policy

Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies

Participation                                5%

Homework                                   10%

Classwork/Quizzes                       40%

**When a grade is put into a category, the teacher will put in points, not percentages. This way all tests, quizzes, class work, and homework will not count the same under the categories above. A 40 point test should not have the same  weight as a 25 point test.

**Each grading period there will be between 12 and 20 grades for each subject.

Homework Grading Policy

*Charts will be kept for each class, with the student's names.

*Homework will be due the next day, unless told otherwise.

* When the student comes into class, homework will be checked immediately and then reviewed.

*After two weeks, a grade will then be put into the grade book for homework. If there were 7 homework assignments, then the student would receive a 5/7, 6/7 or whatever amount of homework they turned in for those two weeks. Usually a homework grade is only put in three or four times a grading period.
