*Students used catapults to try and launch the marshmallows into different cups. They had to use their understanding of pushes/pulls and direction to be able to hit the targets. Students had to change their thinking, position, starting point (height of the catapult) all in order to reach the various cups.

*After learning what each bead in EET (Expanding Expressions Tool for Writing) was, the students worked together in small groups to write an EET about pumpkins. Each part is one sentence (Green - Group; Blue - Do; What Does it Look Like?; What it is Made of?; Pink Parts; White Where?; What Else Do I Know?)

*Students were given the challenge to work together to build the tallest marshmallow tower. Then they had to think of ways that would make it easier and try it out.

We think critically!

*Example of a Number Talk that we do in my classroom in which the students have to share different ways to solve the problem.

*Students using marshmallows and toothpicks to create 2D and 3D shapes, having to determine the number of sides/edges and vertices needed.

We use technology to help us grow as learners!
