Dear Parents/Guardians:
Welcome back to a new and exciting school year! You are not alone in your search for answers and support. The common bond that we share is our love and
commitment to young people with autism. In the course of last school year, through my affiliation with my students’ strongest advocates, all of you, I have
learned a lot about autism and how to be a giving and caring individual during times when life seems most overwhelming. You are my greatest source of support.
Please, continue to keep in touch. I am always open to new ideas and suggestions.
This school year, I plan to continue focusing on our students’ strengths. I am willing and ready to give you assistance when needed and will share with you
information about your children’s progress, transition services and Best Buddies activities and events. I would like to help you in any way I can as well.
You are encouraged to continue to be an active participant in your child’s development and future. Call me if you would like information about resources or just to talk
and share feelings with someone who wants to make a difference. Email me about any questions you may have.
Some of my goals for this school year are:
· To provide a safe learning environment for your child.
· Help your student grow in academic, social, communication, and self-help skills.
· Prepare your child to become more independent and ready for the post secondary world.
· To establish and follow a transition plan that will assist students going into various job program.
