Honor Cords & Scholarship Opportunity

All graduates who have donated blood six times during their high school career will receive red/green honor cords to wear at the graduation ceremony.

One graduate who has given at least six times, has at least a 2.7 GPA, and enrolls in a post-secondary school will be chosen to receive a scholarship from LIfeshare. Typically, the student with the most donations will receive the scholarship if they meet all other requirements.  All donations do not have to be given during the four drives that MHS hosts.  If there is a tie in the number of donations given, the recipient will be chosen at the discretion of the blood drive sponsor.  The total number of donations given at the school for the school year will determine the dollar amount for the scholarship. It ranges between $500-$750.
