My name is Marie Roberts. I am a 2009 graduate of Tusculum College with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Growth and Learning, K-6 certification. I am currently attending Walden University in order to obtain my Masters Degree in Education for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S.T.E.M).
I am married to my best friend Greg and together we have four children. We are actively involved in our community and enjoy spending time with our family and friends. My husband and I enjoy riding motorcycles and traveling whenever we have the opportunity.
I grew up in Knoxville and graduated from Halls High School. I have lived in Tennessee my entire life and I am so proud to be from East Tennessee. I love history and science and East Tennessee is full of interesting historical and scientific sites. I am proud to be a teacher and love being able to say "I teach". I have always wanted to be a teacher so I am living my dream. I know my classroom will be an exciting place to learn. Currently, I am staying busy as a substitute teacher in Knox, Anderson, and Union Counties. I look forward to the day when I have the opportunity to guide children as they take their own adventure toward higher learning.
It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else.
