Our Mission Statement  The German Club of MAST @ Homestead is committed to developing and maintaining student awareness of German culture and language and its connections to our students, community, country and world, which in turn helps produce well-informed, educated students and well prepared professionals for a global society.  

Many fun and exciting projects were conducted by German Club members during the school year 2010-2011. These projects were generated and organized by our German class in collaboration with our administration, faculty, parents and community partners. Below you will find some notable German Club events and projects: .

OKTOBERFEST CELEBRATION   from September 20th to October 4th The German club was involved in cultural projects such as hall decoration, music and dance festival of traditional German music; they participated in costume contest, wore typical attires of Oktoberfest, elaborated and served traditional German plates, participated in games, competitions and trivia’s about German history and culture.

.COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT / BROOK WOOD NURSING HOME The German Club, students, faculty members and parents brought holiday cheer to Signature HealthCare of Brook Wood garden for Christmas and Valentine’s Day respectively. Groups of students took the time to speak to many of the residents about past experiences and had the opportunity to play games, sing and eat with the residents.-

Visit of the General consulate of the federal republic of Germany in Mast @Homestead  The German Club were involved in the preparation of the visit of the General Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany in our school and participated in the reception for the Deputy Consul General and other official members of the German Consulate.-

OTHER CelebrationsOur German Club as essential piece of the German Program has been in charge of the celebration of important events such as the German Reunification Day, October 3th and the German American Day January 24th.  Our German Club together with the German Class participated in film festivals, poster contests, oral presentations and celebrations in the German class-

Fund raising activities The German club conducted successful fund raising activities such as weekly bake sales and flowers sales for Valentine’s Day
