About Me

Education

I grew up in Moweaqua, Il and graduated from Central A&M High School.  I attended Richland Community college where I earned an Associate’s degree in Business.  I also attended Millikin University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  I have a concentration in mathematics with a middle level endorsement.

Experience

I taught 7th and 8th grade math at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Decatur, Il for 15 years.  I also served in other leadership roles including, 21st Century School After School Site Coordinator, PBIS Chair, Behavior Management Specialist, Building Leadership Team, and School Improvement Team.

Family

My husband, Ryan, and I are proud parents to four children:  Andrew (19), Austin (17), Lindsay (16), and Lane (3).  We enjoy spending time as a family watching football, movies, and playing games.  We are involved in 4H and local county fairs.  We raise and show pigs.
