Parent Participation
I also welcome parents to be involved in our class. There are several field trips we have planned this year for which we will need several parent chaperones (details to come as these dates approach). I encourage parents to take part in their students' learning by reading with their students, allowing their students to read to them, and listening to students share their writing. The titles of all texts will be provided during the first week of school, and I strongly urge parents to take a look at this list and contact me with any concerns. I can make accommodations about certain texts on a case-by-case basis, but I ask that parents take the time to read any texts in question before requesting a change.
Conferences
I always welcome parents to come in for conferences! During the week, I am available from 4pm-7pm. You may schedule a conference by checking my availability through the link to the live document below and emailing me with a time slot that works for you.
