Reading: I send home books daily in their reading folders. Please read them everyday, the books might stay the same until guided reading starts. Guided reading starts in about October.
- In addition, sight word rings with vocabulary was sent home. Please practice the list nightly. Write the words, say the words, and create sentences with the words.
Math: I sent home math fact cards. Please practice them nightly. Do not go through the whole set!!! That is a lot of fluency facts. Do maybe 6 a night. They should become fluent in the math fact cards that they do not have to think about the answer. It should become automatic.
Writing: I will be sending home some quick checks on sentence writing and sight word writing. These will be in their reading folders with their guided reading books.
