Dear Sixth Grade Student,
Hello! My name is Ms.Dudley (SOON to be Mrs.Burnett) and I will be one of your sixth grade teachers this year. I hope you are as excited as I am for what this year has to offer. We will all be working hard, learning new skills, and having fun!
Since I am a new teacher to your school I want to tell you a little bit about myself. I graduated from Chautauqua Lake and continued my education at SUNY Brockport. I knew for a very long time that I wanted to be a teacher. I worked very hard and here I am today, your sixth grade teacher!
I will be teaching science, social studies and math. In science we will be covering a variety of topics; pond life, energy, simple machines, rockets, and so much more! Then in social studies we will be covering world history, starting from the cave man all the way to the Renaissance.
Attached to this letter you will find a list of supplies needed for your sixth grade year. You should try to have all of your materials on the first day of school.
