About Me

In addition to being a science teacher, I am also qualified to teach elementary school and middle school math.  I live in Tyler with my wonderful family.  My husband, Rob, and I have been married for 14 years and have 2 adorable children.  Aaron, our son, is 12 years old and our daughter, Sara, is 9.  They both attend Innovation Academy.

I graduated from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi in 2000 with a Bachelor's Degree in Botany, and minored in Chemistry.  Now, I am working on my Master's Degree in Education at The University of Texas at Tyler.  It's a lot of hard work, but I'm enjoying it.

Outside of school, I am an Assistant Scoutmaster and Advancement Chair for Aaron's Boy Scout troop and a Girl Scout Leader for Sara's Girl Scout troop.  I love camping and the outdoors.  I also love art and being crafty.  I can sew, knit, crochet, paint, and build you a house from the ground up.  On Sunday mornings, I teach Sunday School to 2-year olds.  I'm sort of a Jill-of-all-trades.laugh
