Course Overview

The purpose of this course is to extend the sixth and seventh grade curriculum to address higher levels of all strands of the Sunshine State Standards.  These SSS Components include Number Sense, Concepts & Operations, Measurement, Geometry and Spatial Sense.

The content will include, but not limited to, numeration, whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, integers, geometry, measurement, estimation, graphing, number theory, ration and proportion, probability, statistics, algebraic thinking.  This course will be taught within the context of problem solving.  The 7th graders may use calculators and all shall use computers to facilitate instruction. 

Classwork and Homelearning

All students will participate in activities planned for each lesson.  The student will have daily homelearning assignments with chapter schedules.  Please verify that your child is doing his/her homelearning nightly by signing at the end of the homelearning assignment.
