About Me

I am looking forward to a sensational year at Goddard!  I will be joining the team after moving back from Pennsylvania with my husband of almost 6 years, Mark, and two cats, Layla and Hobbes.  I have been working at a Goddard School in Pennsylvania and I am sad to be leaving but I'm super excited about staying the Goddard family and coming aboard with all of the great parents, teachers and students at West Windsor.

I graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2005 with my B.A. in Philosophy.  I went back to school and obtained my teaching license for kindergarten through fifth grade.  I have taught both first and second grades so I know from experience what will be expected of the students when they leave here so I will work hard to make sure the students learn all they can!

In my time ouside of the classroom, I love to keep busy.  I am an avid reader and I spend a lot of my time immersed in books.  I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan and read all seven of the books every summer.  I love to read and encourage my students to read as much as possible!  I also love spending time with my family and friends.

In my classroom, I work hard to create an atmosphere of mutual respect.  I like to think of my classroom as a community where we all work together to make it a safe and warm environment.  I emphasize the consequences, both good and bad, of our choices and try to empower the students to make their own choices as much as possible.  My goal is that the students all become independent learners and thinkers.
