Welcome to Miami Senior High school and Integrated Science III
I am your teacher, Ms. Ajileye (pronounced Ah-jee-lie) but most students prefer to call me "Ms.A". I have taught at Miami Senior High school for 2 years. Before that, I was a High school Science teacher in Broward County for 3 years.
I have my degree and certification in Biology and I am currently working on my Master's degree.On this site you will find a wealth of information that will aid you in being successful in this course. If you follow my rules and guidelines, this is not a very difficult class.
Most students are not familiar with Integrated Science. The course was incorporated by Miami Dade County for a number of reasons:
(1) To assist 11th grade students in being success on the Science portion of the FCAT
(2) To satisfy the Science credit needed by most 11th and 12th grade students to graduate from High School
(3) To prepare students for the rigors of college by officering a wide variety of scientific knowledge
Every year I add more and more new and exciting labs, assignments and activities to my syllabus. I look forward to working together with your towards your goal of academic achievement and excellence in Science.
