A Bad Case of Tattle Tongue

In 2nd grade, we are learning about Reporting and Tattling.  In the story, A Bad Case of Tattle Tongue Josh tattles on his classmates alot. The other students do not want to play with him.  After tattling at home, his mother tells him he could catch tattle tongue.  Josh is worried about his tongue turning yellow with purple spots.  He doesnt tattle on anyone the next day at school.  He also does not report to a teacher the danger he hears. The Tattle Prince visits Josh that night and teaches him the tattle rules.

1. Be a Danger Ranger-  If a person or animal is in danger- REPORT it! This is not a tattle tale

2. Be a Problem Solver- If it involves you and no one is in danger, try to solve it on your own

3. Is it a NOW problem- Can your problem wait till later

4. M.Y.O.B. (Mind Your Own Beeswax)- If the problem does not involve you and is not danger, stay out of it!

After reading our story and having some discussion, the class decides if each statement is a Report or a Tattle be moving to the designated side of the room.
