Dear Parent(s):

 Welcome to Jr. K 1!  My name is Ms. Nilsa Cruz-Tevere and I will be your child's teacher.  I am very excited about the 2010-2011 school year.  We will be exploring new topics and learning many new things.  I am really looking forward to working with all of my wonderful Juniors and parents this year.

 Expectations:

   1. Homework will be sent home at least three (3) times a week.
     (In school folder) Homework is due back the following school day.

 2. Every Friday, we will be having "Show and Tell".  Each student is allowed to baring something      to school.  Please be sure the item can fit in your child's backpack.

 3. Weekly reports will be sent home every Friday, Review and Sign. Then return on the following school day.

 4. Please look in your child's backpack everyday for memos or notes from the teacher.

 5. Two pictures of your child will be appreciated for our class bulletin board.

 6. Children need to be in class by 8:30 A.M. each day.  Morning work starts at this time.

 7. Change of clothes (labeled) to be kept in classroom at all times.  (Does not have to be uniform).  Check your child's book bag often to see if it is necessary to replace clothing.

 8. Our class is scheduled for Physical Education on Tuesday and Thursday.  The students are expected to come to school on this day in their P.E. uniforms. Beacon Hill School T-shirt, black shorts, and sneakers.

 Additional supplies for class:
 1 box of latex gloves, wipes, box of large zip lock bags (gallon size)
