PLEASE READ
Dear Parents/Guardians,
It is with pleasure that we welcome you and your child to kindergarten. Cooperatively, we can provide an educational environment which will enhance the learning experience planned this year. We want your child to have a successful year, therefore, listed below are some helpful reminders and schedules, (subject to change).
*Please label your child’s belongings including: the uniforms, sweaters, jackets, lunch box, water bottles, and nap towel.
*Each student will be assigned a class number which is located on the planner and the folder.
*Folders and planners are sent home daily and must be returned the following school day. Please review the conduct mark in the planner with your child and sign the planner daily. Please help us by moving the clip/bookmark from Fridays to Mondays of the next week. J
*Homework will be stamped on the paper. We send homework on Mondays and it is to be returned by Wednesdays. We post homework on our MTC K educational page on our school website on Mondays.
*Please send clean towel to school on Mondays to cover the student rest mat. The towel will go home on Fridays for cleaning and returning on Mondays.
*Snacks-Please send your child a healthy snack for each day. We suggest putting it in a container labeled "snack" so we know it is not an extra lunch treat. ***KB is a peanut free snack classroom.
*Please send a filled water bottle each morning. Please label the water bottle and refill daily. We do refill as needed.
*Recess is daily. We ask girls to wear a pair of shorts under the jumper.
*Lunch-Kindergarten does not have access to microwaves, please send hot food in a thermos.
*We will attend Mass every Tuesday with our 8th grade buddies beginning at a later date.
*P.E. is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Your child does not change into P.E. uniforms this year. Coach asks that girls tie their hair back for P.E.
*Technology will be integrated in the classroom during lessons and centers.
We will begin AR testing in the future, small steps right now.
We are looking forward to a successful school year.
