Henrico County International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programs - Application Timeline for Middle School Sites
Thursday, October 21st - Current 6th grade and 7th grade students can access the application through the School Counseling Schoology Course
Monday, October 25th - Moody Middle School IB will host virtual and in-person open house options from 4:30-7:00 PM
Monday, November 15th - All completed applications are due to Ms.White (6th grade) or Mrs. Tyler (7th grade) - no late applications will be accepted
Monday, November 23rd - Deadline for school counselors to return the application, part 1 (report cards and teacher recommendations) to the IB office
Tuesday, December 2nd - School counselors will administer the writing prompt
Friday, February 11th - Application response letters are mailed
Wednesday, February 23rd and Thursday, February 24th - IBMYP Guided Tours for Moody Middle School for accepted and waitlisted students
Tuesday, March 1st - Deadline for appeals requests (not accepted and waitlisted students) delivered to the IB Programs office at Tuckahoe Middle School
Tuesday, March 1st - Student/parent agreement forms are due to the IB office at Tuckahoe Middle School for all accepted students
March 7-11, 2022: New IBMYP Student Registration - contact Moody Middle School registrars for an appointment
Three HCPS middle schools offer the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program, which includes a comprehensive curriculum for students who are highly motivated and who have demonstrated the ability to achieve academically. In addition to a well-rounded selection of courses, students focus on developing a wide variety of skills to help them think critically, organize carefully, communicate appropriately and reflect purposefully.

Join the International Baccalaureate Program at Moody Middle School.
• Emphasizes active learning, interdisciplinary investigations, real- world connections, and community action
• Features a rigorous learning continuum for students in grades six through 10 that includes vertical teaming of teachers from one grade level to the next
• Challenges students to meet both international and state academic standards
• Focuses on enhancing the opportunity for success for those students who enroll in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma Programs at the high school level
Application procedures for IBMYP at Fairfield, Moody and Tuckahoe Middle Schools can be obtained from your HCPS school counselor. Private and home school applicants must contact the IB Programs Office at 261-6440 to request an application. Quioccasin Middle School students who are selected for admission will attend the IB Middle Years Program at Moody Middle School.
