Online Summer School for Middle School Students (this replaces the traditional Summer Academy)
HCPS promotion policy states:
To qualify for promotion between middle grades, or from middle school to high school, students must earn a passing final grade in the four core subject areas of English, math, science, and social studies. Students who fail one or more core subjects are retained and recommended to attend summer school to retake the failed courses. If the student does not attend summer school, he/she will be retained.
*The maximum number of courses that can be taken in summer school is TWO.
