Our current unit of study is sequencing. All sequencing layered curriculum items are due on Thursday, September 30, 2010. The only item that may have come home to work on would be the interview from level A. With this unit, we are working on putting items in the correct sequence or order. Your scholar is also required to complete the Study Island assignment of Sequence of Events by Thursday as well. If you would like to practice this skill with your scholar, a great resource is the EOG practice "Making a Boomerang." You can access this activity through the EOG tab.
Your scholars are currently working through their first layered curriculum. This is where they are selecting the activities that they would like to complete within each "layer" or level. You can support this curricula by reminding your scholar the importance of checking his/her own work, checking for completion and accuracy before turning in work. To find out more information about layered curriculum, please click on the links tab to the left and select "Layered Curriculum."
