5. Nominated for National Leadership Honor Society: Omicron Delta Kappa – Awarded for maintaining above a 3.0 cumulative GPA and for demonstrating leadership; 2008, 2009

7. Awarded Abigail Adams Scholarship – Grants free tuition to all state institutions of higher education; 2005

8. Awarded King Philip Music Association Book Scholarship; 2005

Community Service

1. Student taught trombone and euphonium sections in the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s All-City music program for both elementary and middle/high school; 2007 to Present

2. Performed in supermarket with a small ensemble to raise money for MENC

3. University outreach – assisted Lowell secondary education students interested in engineering construct miniature bridges; 2005-2006

4. Assisted the running of International Association of Jazz Educators at Jazz State Finals in Lowell; 2006

5. Donated time to help instruct King Philip junior high school jazz; 2004, 2006

6. Ran musical auditions for the Southeast Districts organization and the regional Honors Band organization; 2001-2005
