The approach is long and it is painful


Witch Malady's dialog is long and dull. Items can only be bought one, and can only be cooked . Cooking one thing means going through 5 or 6 Cheap Maplestory2 Mesosdialogue boxes (and choosing an alternative in each, so that you can not even junk the NPC Chat key). And you have to cook up a dozen intermediate items until you can produce a solitary Stew, which is pretty much the only one of Malady's concoctions that's still useful.

The approach is long and it is painful and it provides an advantage to individuals who are willing to violate the rules and macro the procedure in their keyboards or controllers.

I believe that collecting the required materials is already tedious enough, so the crafting process can be streamlined without making the whole event a "freebie."

The easiest fix would be to add a "how many do you want to buy/make?" Question to Malady's dialog before she chooses your items and provides you your benefit and exp. She will need to check that you have enough materials, which you have enough space in your inventory for the rewards, until she performs the trade.

The cooler fix is to change Malady to use the crafting system, similar to Beefy's Kitchen. Give her a Sack (shop NPC for purchasing things with Dark Tokens) and also a Cauldron (crafting NPC for cooking things based on her recipes), and the built-in operation of these types of NPCs will take care of the quantity issue. The only tricky bit is that some of her items can be crafted two distinct manners. I am not certain if the crafting system can handle two recipes which yield the same product. Additionally, using this system will not give exp (but may give Diligence exp).Reboot Update Preview
