Hello!! I love teaching music, making music, promoting music and the arts, and learning!!
I have taught for many years (34) and am still enjoying it so very much. I have a great job in Murray, KY at North Calloway Elementary School as their music teacher. We have nearly 600 students in K thru 5 and they receive music and art once per week.
I love seeing students acquire music skills, understanding and language. They are amazing!!!
We learn through many avenues: Orff process, World Music Drumming, recorder playing, singing games, choir, percussion ensemble and an extracurricular violin program that coordinates with the music departments from Murray State University.
I have supervised many student teachers and coordinated our college students who teach violin to beginners.
I am an active pianist, cellist and percussionist in the west Kentucky area.
