Dear Second Grade Families,

Happy Spring! Well, technically spring starts this week. Central Oregon takes a while to catch on...

We will have a busy week leading up to Spring Break. ECS is observing Holy Week this week as we will not be in school next week. Each day we will remember a different part of the incredible Easter story. Be sure to ask your children about each day so they can share it with you.  Also, we have Monday, April 1st as a school Easter holiday. We'll see you back here on Tuesday April 2nd!

We have our monthly Fruit of the Spirit award assembly on Wednesday this week. We will be honoring students who have exhibited FAITHFULNESS. Feel free to join us at 9:30am in the gym!

We are continuing our study of the War of 1812 this week. We are discussing Dolley Madison and her contributions, and we will discuss the weapons of the times as well. Additionally this week, second graders are writing some beautiful pieces about what Easter means to them. You can find those displayed in the hallway by the end of the week.

Have a wonderful Spring Break! Happy Easter!

Have a blessed week!
