Resources for Vocabulary Development:
https://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org: This website has many different subcategories and allows students to practice listening, reading, writing, sepaking, spelling, grammar, and vocabulary all in once place. I like this website because it includes a game section for built in rewards. I also like that there is a printable section of the webiste that includes flashcards and worksheets which is important and useful for educators, especailly for educators who may not have consistent or frequent access to technology in the classroom.
From the website: "LearnEnglish Kids is brought to you by the British Council, the world's English teaching experts. We have lots of free online games, songs, stories and activities for children. For parents, we have articles on supporting children in learning English, videos on using English at home and information about face-to-face courses around the world."
Self-Study Quizzes for ESL Students describes it self as "Quizzes, tests, exercises and puzzles to help you learn English as a Second Language (ESL)
This project of The Internet TESL Journal (iteslj.org) has thousands of contributions by many teachers."
This website provides a number of online grammar and vocabulary quizzes for ESL students as well as many bilingual quizzes. Although not a fancy interface, the webs is straightforward and easy to navigate.
