Investigation three in math will explore symmetry. Students will look at symetrical designs and look for symmetrrical objects in the classroom. Students will explore by constructing designs out of pattern blocks along a line of symmmetry. An assessment will be given on tomorrow (11-23-10)

We are learning how to use multiple strategies to complete math problems. Encourage your child to use the number line and base cubes (symbols) to solve math problems. Samples of these two methods can be provided.
Help your child commit the math facts to memory.
It is important for your child to practice basic addition math facts daily. The goal is to help your child build fluency and accuracy with facts from 0 to 10. Flashcards are a wonderful tool to use. You may also want to explore the links that have been provided on this site.
