Welcome to Ms. Gutierez/ Ms. Del Sol 3rd Grade Class

Summer is over and the 2017-2018 Sunny Isles Beach Community School Year will now begin.   We hope that you are as thrilled as we are to begin our journey into 3rd grade.

Our school hours are 8:35 a.m. to 3:05 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesdays we have 1:50 p.m. dismissal.  Please make sure your child arrives to school by 8:35 a.m.

We are dedicated to making this a busy, productive and terrific year for all our students. We are looking forward to working with your child in helping to achieve his/her full potential. The transition from 2nd to 3rd will again involve switching classes.  Your child will have one teacher for reading/language arts and another teacher for math/science.

We believe that a good parent-teacher relationship is necessary for maximum school success.  If you need to speak with us, please send a note in your child’s agenda.  If you wish to discuss something or address any concerns or issues, let me know so that I may set some time aside. We look forward to a wonderful, fun filled school year.

Listed below are some things that will be beneficial in helping make your child’s first week of school go smoothly:

1. Please make sure that all school supplies are brought to school by Friday -8/25

2. The students will be receiving many forms from the school- these must be returned as soon as possible.  These forms are of utmost importance as they contain emergency contact numbers and medical information.

3.  Parent involvement and interest in activities makes all the difference in the world. We invite and encourage you to get involved and support your child’s class by sending needed supplies or treats.

4. $13.00, will be collected for Iready reading workbook and $5.00 for School agenda.  Individual teachers will be collecting for Time for Kids magazines.

Your support of school activities makes your child feel important and sends the message that you value school.  PTSA forms will be sent home.  We urge you to join the PTSA as these monies help throughout the year with activities.
