A little bit about me, Mrs. Bean...
I grew up in Yorktown, VA where I graduated from York High School in 2002. I then attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 2006. I most recently earned my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education in Chicago, IL. I have taught 7th, 9th, 10th, and 12th grade history (US History, World History I & II, and AP US Government). I also teach US History and Psychology online for a Virtual High School. This will be my 7th year teaching. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, I love working with young people, and enjoy experiencing something new every day!
I am married and have two sons: Eli and Logan. We have an American pitbull named Riley. In my free time I enjoy going to the beach or pool, watching live sporting events, and watching movies. My favorite sports teams are the New York Giants and New York Yankees, my favorite food is ChickFilA, and my favorite holiday is Christmas (I start playing Christmas music right after Halloween)!
