New Items for this Week:  October 10-14

Dear Parents and Students,

Happy warm weather October! Next Tuesday October 11 is an early release day for students as teachers are in meetings. Dismissal will be 2:37. Next Friday October 14 the Milford Fire Dept. will be coming to talk to our K-2nd kiddos about Fire Safety. The 2nd grade presentation will be 11:30-12:15.

Please be watching for a Halloween celebration note that will be coming home soon. Our celebration will be Monday Oct. 31.  Also be watching for a link that will be attached to our Bickel Bulletin and Remind to sign up for Parent Teaher Conferences.  The two dates for Parent Teacher Conferences are Thursday November 10 and Tuesday November 15.

Thank you to the parents who have donated snacks to the classroom!  So helpful! Thank you! The students are coming home this weekend with a Home Reading Book Bag.  It is a gallon ziploc bag with a few leveled books from our classroom library. Also in the bag is a reading log to record minutes read each night in their "newly created comfy cozy book nook"! Please return the reading log each week and a new one will come home. I will give a small treat to each kiddo for being responsible and returning each reading log.  On Thursday this past week we did a Reader's lesson on creating a cozy comfy reading spot to have fun reading in. They also did a beautiful piece of writing describing the area they were going to create at home.  Please email me pics if any kiddos create an area, I would love to hang them up in the room with their writing.

Fun Run is tomorrow!  2nd grade times are as follows:

Warm up 2:05

Pictures 2:10

Run Start 2:15

Run finish 2:25

If you haven't already please sign-up for the Remind 101, a direction page is in the Meet and Greet packet.  It is a great quick way to send messages to all parents.

Please see the homework section for updated math homework .

The second grade teaching team decided that we will send home the whole first unit of math homework at once and as the students complete each homework page they can bring it back to school the next day.

Please follow in the homework section of this website for what homework lessons will need to be turned in when. Each lesson has a follow up homework lesson to be completed at home.  The backside of each homework page is a review page that is your choice if you would like your child to complete that page.  Then the homework page can be turned in the following day to school after completion.
