History of Bingo

Bingo is one of the oldest game

The origin of the game dates back to the 1530s in Italy. The game was known as Giuocodel Lotto d'Italia. The game reached France in the 1770's, where it was named as Le Lotto. This version of the bingo is still played in France. The Le Lotto cards contain 27 squares arranged in three rows and nine columns. Le Lotto Cards led the creation of modern British bingo. A similar game was also introduced in Germany, which was used to teach mathematics to children. The bingo game reached the United States in the 1930s, where it was named as Beano.

The game has different versions in different countries

There are different versions of this game that are being played all over the world. The most played version in the United States is 75 Ball Bingo, in which 24 random numbers between 1 and 75 are arranged on a card in 5 rows and 5 columns. In the UK, on the other hand, the most played version of the game is 90 Ball Bingo, with 15 random numbers between 1 and 90 arranged on a card in 3 rows and 9 columns. Bingo can also be played using a set of 30 and 80 numbers.
