Count to the 100th word. Count and record the Number of sentences in that 100 words. Count and record the number of syllables in that 100 words. Insert the numbers into the Fry Chart below.

You can determine the Flesch-Kincaid reading grade level of a paper you’ve written easily in Microsoft Word©. There is a tool for this that you access from your menu bar.
You can either calculate an entire paper, or you can highlight a section and then calculate.

TEST – vocabulary – Lessons 1-4
IMPORTANT: Students are required to turn in their Study Guides as their “ticket” to the test (The Study Guide looks like the test but has “Lessons 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A” on it. The Test has “B” on the sections.
