Assignments

Labs/Projects

  • Students will be handed worksheet packets for each chapter and counted as a homework grade which is worth 50 points
  • Workbook assignments for each chapter will be given.  Those will be done in class for a workbook grade which is worth 50 points.
  • Quizzes will be given and they will be announced or unannounced and they are worth 10 points.
  • At the end of each chapter, exams will be given to see how students progress on the chapter.  Each exam is worth 100 points. There may be a point where students will test on more than chapter.  I will let the student know in advance.
  • I will let students know in advance about extra credit.  Most of the extra credit will be drawings.

  • As part of my curriculum, i require labs and projects for all my science classes.
  • Each student will be given a packet that will contain what the lab will be.  I hope to do atleast 5 labs in a semester. So a total of 10 labs in a school year.
  • Constructing the lab is worth 20 points and the each lab report is worth 50 points.
  • Each student will be required to use lab safety when assembling the experiment.  Lab safety will also count as a grade. It will be worth worth 10 points.
  • Projects:  These will be announced in advance to give students time to make the projects.
  • Each Project will have different point values.
  • These projects are designed to give hands-on for students and to expand learning capabilities as while as the labs.

This is a tentative plan for some assignments and projects that the classes will be doing this school year.  I have the right to make changes to the any of the assignments and labs/projects.  I hope this will be a guide to students and parents to see what assignments, projects, and labs will be doing this year.
