In our 6th grade classes, students will be provided time within the school day to complete all assignments. Through AVID, we strive to provide students with organization and time management skills, where students organize their work and priortize assignment due dates. Most assignments will be able to be completed in class, or during our provided AVID Workshop time on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after lunch, from 1:20-2:20. If students are using classtime and workshop efficiently, they should have very little homework, if any, to complete outside of the school day. However, students should be using time at home for independent reading and studying for upcoming tests. (Students with excessive absences will have homework outside of school).
