About Myself

I have been a teacher since 1987.  I have taught Kindergarten, First, Sixth and Seventh grades.  My favorite is Kindergarten.  I have taught Kindergarten for a total of 14 of those years.  I graduated from UNCW at Wilminton, N.C.  We moved to Anchorage in 1996 after my husband Mike retired from the Navy.  We have four beautiful grandchildren.  Alex lives in Alaska with our daughter and son in law and our son's family lives in Maine.  I love to travel and look forward to a tour in Europe someday soon.  I play the piano and enjoy singing.  In the winter I like to cross country ski and go snowshoeing with my husband and two dogs.  I love children and animals so I imagine that might be why I enjoy my job so much.  I hope you enjoyed getting to know a little bit more about me especially since your child spends so much time with me.
