Steps to Recover Google Account

When you cannot retain the password of your Google account but do remember your email address, you can move over to the Google Account Recovery page to recover your Google account shortly.

  • Open any browser and search for “Google Account Recovery,” and move to the first link in the results. On the Google account recovery page verify identity, enter your email address.
  • Google will now ask you for a previous password that you remember. If you remember your previous Gmail password, enter it and follow the rest of the instructions. If not, choose the ‘Try another way’ option on the bottom left.
  • Now, Google will begin to ask you security questions to verify that you are trying to recover the account. Answer your security questions and follow the instructions to change your password and recover your account.
  • If your Google account is connected to a mobile number, you may see a notification on the phone to verify your identity. Proceed by tapping on the ‘Yes’ button. Now your window should take you to the Google password change screen.
  • Once you reach the new password screen with any methods, enter a strong new password that you aren’t likely to forget.
