Main Idea (LA. A. 2.3.1)

1)Accomplishment Something that has been achieved or gained

4)Topic sentence a sentence that states the main thought of a paragraph or of a larger unit of discourse and is usually placed at or near the beginning 

5)Central Idea Of primary importance, basic idea, fundamental idea, most essential, main idea 

6)Summary a brief statement that presents the main points in a concise form 

7)Main Goal something that one hopes or intends to accomplish 

8)Essential Message  to communicate a specific message  underlying theme or idea 


Plot Development (LA.E.2.3.1 & LA.E.1.3.2) 

 )flashback interruption of chronological sequence (as in a film or literary work) by interjection of events of earlier occurrence
