Accelerated Reader News

What is an Accelerated Reader Test?

An accelerated reader test is a test to check reading comprehension on books your first grader has read. This test is administered on the computer. Most books on first and second grade level are worth 0.5 points.
Our goal for each marking period is 10 points. This means each student will need to read a minimum of twenty (20) books and answer all questions correctly.
If your child gets twenty-five (25) points or more, he/she will be on the BOOKWORM.

Our media center has lots of Accelerated Reading books. Please encourage your child to check one out and bring it home to read.

Once you feel your child is ready for an AR test, sign the
completed form and return it to me.

Thanks for your support!
