Here are some activities that you can do
with your child at home, using materials that you already have.
Dye macaroni noodles using food coloring.Put the noodles in a zip-lock bag and add several drops of food coloring, allow the noodles to soak up the food coloring, lay the noodles on a cookie sheet to dry. Once the noodles are dry you can do many things with the noodles:
-decorate on paper with them by making pictures
-sort by colors
-make number cards
Make home made play dough with your child. All the ingredients you need you can find in the kitchen cupboard. Let the child pick the color. Then when it’s done you can play with it, use cookie cutters to make fun designs and shapes!

Play with shaving cream. Put it on the kitchen table or on a table outside. Just let the child spread it all over. They will enjoy the freedom of making a mess while having fun.
During the winter time, fill a squirt bottle with water and food coloring. Go outside and color the snow. They can try to write their names, make designs or shapes.
A really neat trick is to take milk and pour it in a tin pan, take food coloring and squeeze a couple drops of different colors in different spots watch the food coloring move around, this is great if your child is into science.
