My name is Erin Messersmith and I have taught language arts and English at both the middle and high school level; in addition, I have also taught college English and courses in creative writing and communications. This will be my fifteenth year of teaching and I am so excited to be teaching at Carrington Middle! I am originally from upstate New York and obtained my bachelor's degree from Siena College in Loudonville, New York and a master's degree in British and American Literature from NC State. I adore animals and have three cats, whom I consider to be my children, and who are named Daisy, Lenore, and Mr. Poe. In my free time, I love to read and watch Netflix. I love all things British, so I particularly love the series The Crown and all things Jane Austen.
