About the Teacher

My name is Mrs. Elftman and I am very excited about teaching 4th grade at Quentin Elementary.

I grew up in a small military town in Southern Arizona in a very strict military family.  Because of my upbringing, I focused on my school work and decided that I loved working with children. I attended Northern Arizona University and recieved my bachelors in Elementary Education with a minor in American History.   After graduating, I was a substitute teacher in an Excelling school district for half the year and was hired to teach in the Cartwright District.  I taught  at Desert Sands for the first two years teaching 6th grade and coached baseball/softball.  I started off there again in my third year teaching 6th grade, and was transferred over to Borman a few weeks into the year to take over and 8th grade class.  That was a challenge, but I am now looking forward to teaching 4th grade.  This was the grade that I spent most of my time subbing in and fell in love with the age group.
